Catching Perch in June

Catching Perch in June | What and what to catch.

Catching perch in the summer. Perch does not grow to huge sizes, like a som or carp, but catching it is still interesting. He is quite timid, careful. Not every bait pounces. To catch the striped, have to look for him, carefully get close to him and outsmart.

In addition to the excitement, without which it is not without perch fishing, another factor causes fishers to switch to perch. This fish has excellent gastronomic characteristics. Some difficulties arise when cleaning it, and then at least in the ear throw, though fish cutlets do, any dish from the river or pond perch turns out delicious.

Perches live in almost every river and lake with a suitable oxygen regime for them. The search for the fishing object depends on what exactly the fisherman is counting on. If you plan to dynamic fishing of small stripes, then the choice of place is obvious – it’s shallow water. In the coastal thickets of water, vegetation is full of fry and other animals, which is the main food of perch. If you stand at the water for a while and observe the surface, then from time to time, you can see how flocks of small fish literally fly to the sides, escaping from danger. This danger is exactly what the feeding perch of small and medium-size represents.

Large humpbacks should be searched in deeper areas of the reservoir. As a rule, they are kept alone or two or three, so catching one trophy perch does not mean that it will be possible to fish out a few more at this point. A large perch has to constantly look, rounding one promising site after another, by promising experimental dippers to mean various objects in the water, located at a depth of 1.5 meters: boulders, driftwood, fallen trees, supports of hydraulic structures, and so on. Behind them usually hide decent humpbacks, waiting for prey.

In the morning and evening hours of the cluster of striped robbers, it is easy to find on the so-called boilers, which form on the reservoir’s surface. Unknown people may think that the water really boiled, but fishers know for sure – it chews the most common predator in our latitudes. He chases fry, slurps, gurgles. The word arranges a real slaughter. For the fisherman, it is a great opportunity for effective catching perch on the spinner. It can be caught on other tackles in the summer, but spinning remains a priority, so that we will start with it.

Catching perch on spinning

Catching perch on spinning

Striped active all year round, which can not but please avid dippers, but summer fishing is more comfortable. Especially if the arsenal has a well-assembled spinning tackle designed for this predator, it consists of a short rod (2.1-2.4 m) of medium or medium-fast construction with a maximum test boundary of up to 20 grams. Perch spinning is equipped with a non-inertial coil with a spool 2000, which is collected the required amount of braid with a diameter of 0.16-0.2 mm. A thicker cord should not be put. It can negatively affect the sensitivity of the tackle, which in our case, is unacceptable.

Recently, the catching of perch in the summer on the ultralight has become very popular. It is an ultra-light and hypersensitive alternative to conventional spinning using appropriate lures. The ultralight rod test does not exceed 10 grams, so any attempt to throw a 25-gram bait is likely to end in a breakdown. But this is unnecessary because ultralight spinning can throw small silicones on light jig heads quite far.

What else can you seduceperch?

In addition to silicone, effective perch lures are recognized as:

  • rotating and oscillating spinners that mimic the movements of a live fish;
  • Small wobblers with natural or spotted colors;
  • tail spinners are artificial fish, very well complemented by a petal.

You can catch perch on spinning with the help of uniform and stepped wiring, as well as the method of twitching. The first is more suitable for wobblers and silicone, stepped well to surf deep places in search of a trophy predator well, and the twitch is effective in various conditions throughout the season of open water.

Usually, the bite feels in hand as a blow. Sometimes it looks like a hook. In any case, you need to make a hook, but not too sharp and sweeping; otherwise, the hook will be only the tip of the predator.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the catching of perch in the summer on a drain leash. Now, this interesting direction is gaining momentum. More and more spinners are beginning to get carried away with a simple but effective installation called “draining leash” that is not difficult to master, does not require high financial costs, is suitable for all without exception reservoirs, and perfectly catches striped predators of different sizes, from sailor to 2-kilogram hump.

Catching a perch on a fishing rod in the summer

This tackle is often used in strong places where it is not possible to conduct spinning bait. Thanks to the long rod (starting from 5 meters), the bait can be carefully served to the predator in the windows in the middle of the vegetation. The rod is equipped with a 0.25-0.28 mm fishing rod, a rounded float with a bright top, a sinker, and a hook of the room that corresponds to the size of the catching object. The expediency of using a leash in doubt because actively feeding perch will not frighten and rope, and catch passive will not help even the thinnest fishing line.

What to offer the striped? Universal bait was and remained worms, but the maggots, for some reason, he is interested much worse. In the summer, the larvae of dragonflies (other names: Noida, cossack), live grasshopper, and bark beetle are also relevant. A large perch can be caught on a live bait: a bull, a small guitar, a pessary. She loves this predator and bleak, but, unfortunately, on the hook, she does not live long.

Throwing tackle is better under the grass or in places where there are frequent bursts. The perch bites confidently. The float can rush to the side or go under the water. At this point, you need to make a hook and try not to let the fish take the rig into the thickets of vegetation. When taking out, it is necessary to act delicately, without sharp jerks, not to break the thin lips of the predator. Catching perch from the shore in summer almost always brings a good catch. The main thing is to find a place where it lives and feeds.

Perch fishing from the boat

Thanks to the boat, which allows you to fish at great depths, you can get a decent trophy. From the boat, catch the match, using as bait winter seamers with planting. For such fishing, you will need a winter fishing rod, a thin line, and around the dark-colored seam, and even better two: one dark, the other bright yellow or red. The first is knitted directly at the end of the line, and the second is placed above it on a short leash (10-12 cm).

To make the lure look more attractive, a moth, a maggot, or a dung worm are planted on the seam. You can play such a lure in different ways, but do not dwell on any one animation. Perch can ignore excessively mobile seam and willingly take on the one that slowly crawls on the bottom. And it happens and vice versa. Therefore, it makes sense to experiment a little, pick up the best option and enjoy pleasant fishing with many bites.

Catching a perch from a summer boat in the plumb has one significant drawback. It is possible only at great depths, as the dark spot above the head scares the predator.

Don’tsing tackle on perch

Donka (all its varieties) is not designed for catching striped robbers; however, it can be successfully used for the already trophy perch. It helps in cases when the predator cannot catch a spinning or fishing rod because of the squall wind, powerful current, and other factors. Such fishing involves feeding the point, but it will require a special mixture, different from those designed to attract peaceful underwater inhabitants.

To collect the tackle, it is enough to take any telescopic or plug type rod, able to provide the desired range of cast. It is equipped with a non-inertial (any cheap “meat grinder) and a thick line or cord. Thin minority or braid such coils stack out of the ordinary badly.

There are several snap options for this type of fishing, but often it is just a deaf or sliding sinker, fixed on the end of the mainline, and a leash with a hook over it. You can put several guides at once. Hooks are used as singles and doubles, tees, and even ceramics for winter. If there is a current in the fishing area, it is desirable to take a loader flat or apply it with a ground hose. In standing water, the shape of the sinker has absolutely no value.

Instead of cargo, you can use a special feeder for animal components with a lid and small holes through which the maggots and worms gradually crawl out. Feeding a predator is a very controversial issue. Many fishers consider it useless, while others claim that the feeder and a handful of animals work wonders, delaying at the point of all the perches passing by.

There is also a third, small category of anglers with their own extraordinary opinion. They believe that there is a place for small-faction baiting in such fishing, which feeders lure peaceful fish. The principle of its action is the following: the mixture attracts much small fish, and the predator is suitable for it. But how do you get him to peck at a worm when there’s so much “food” floating around? Unless you put a fry on the hook that can’t get away.

Speaking of bait. The perch are caught on a moth, a maggot, a manure red or white earthworm, pieces of fresh fish. Of the live bait perch, most like the bull, it holds for a long time and constantly moves, trying to free himself. On a dead fish striped takes worse, pecks at it only when very hungry.

Useful advice

Catching perch is better on quiet, calm, deserted bodies of water, where it is not intimidated and therefore safe. On pressed rivers and lakes, the predator is afraid of man. He can be frightened by the silhouette, the crunch of branches under his feet, the conversation on the phone, and even the fall of the bait on the water.
